i have a legacy tft-lcd. it has an s-video input and thats it. how do i hook up power it? Any help would be appreciated.

anyone? This lcd-tft monitor was used as a car monitor.

That's not S-video. It's the same format of connector as S-video but it's not S-video so don't send S-video to it. One of those pins is power and one is ground.

You might need to go to Radio shack and get the female car converter, and run it to a 12 v battery - take one from a rechargeable flashlight.

I would be careful before hooking wires up at random. There are six there I believe. You didn't give any background about what you do or don't have to go along with your monitor. When I've bought LCD monitors they came with a matching "S-video style" plug that had a small wiring harness that included the necessary control box (very small sealed box in the harness) that let you change from input 1 or 2, let you flip the picture, etc.

You should contact the seller, and/or Legacy.

id do have the wire adapter.. converts the s-video looking cord into audio left and right and the power wires.
