I'm looking at the possibility to use a Optoma H79 (or similar) projector to use it as 2nd monitor. I already use Panasonic HVX-200 cam and plan to use (of course) his HD possibilities..

Suggestion, comments, recommendations ?

Thank you.

Yes, but i don't think it could be a problem.

I also consider the Sanyo PLV-Z4

I just purchased the Panasonic A900 HD projector and the things is GREAT...in dark rooms. Seriously, the HD picture (I shoot on an H1) is amazing and it can put up a pretty huge picture. However, I would never use it for color correcting or anything like that...viewing and really wowing your client only...

I've been battling weather to get a Panasonic 1024x768 projector or a similar 37-50" plasma for viewing. My editing room will be a challenge to rid the light in summertime, but it would seem spectacular to have a 92" hi-def image, and keep my 14"JVC monitor for CC. Decisions, decisions!

DEFINITELY go with the Plasma or LCD, in that case. Light is still the big-time enemy of proectors. There is a world of difference between watching my screen in the day and night...I would not want to edit with a projector with any light in the room. Don't believe all the 5000 to 1 ratio stuff...it's still not great in a room with lights or any sun coming in.

Hope this helps!
