Editing suite
I am looking for a new editing suite that is simple to use, has all the necessary tools for editing short films, documentaries etc and one that can authorise and output DVD’s from the time line without having to go into a separate programs. I don’t need thousands of special effects, or complex 3D transitions etc, just a good solid workhorse, able to output in 16.9 ratio and 25p frame. In other words, I’m looking for something that is simple and linear in its operation. I have Pinnacle 9, which is good for quick, simple editing but it is restricted by lack of audio and video tracks. I also have Adobe Premier 1.5 but I find this editing suite way to cluttered and fragmented, with all the separate ad on programmes for DVD production and sound etc. I know every editor has his personal preference, but what do you guys suggest would suit my requirements.?
