I want to use my MX300 to gather some sound FX with a Sennheiser K6/ME66. The Senn actually works ok plugging it directly into the MX300 via an XLR to minijack cable but adjusting levels is awkward.

Any recommendations what Beachtek adapter would be best. At http://www.beachtek.com I notice a model with phantom power the DXA-6 .

or is the DXA-4P (P for Panasonic? just the same and no need for another battery) and I could use it on a GL2 too?

Thanks

I don't know. Perhaps e-mail Terrence to see what he has to say. You can also e-mail Beachtek; they might have the best suggestions for you. I should also e-mail them myself, because I haven't got a Beachtek yet, though I would want one that I can use both for my MX300 and DVL9500s.

I used the XLR-Pro [from studio1 Productions] with my old MX300 and the Sennheiser MKE300 and recorded great sound . Although the mike could just be seen at the top of the frame when editing but not on output to a tv screen .

Then there's the one from http://www.signvideo.com and the Glenbox - UK. Now which is best? The BBC uses the Glenbox, beaser (Bryan) uses a Beachtek, many of the members here use Sign Video's box, and then there's the one (already mentioned by Gavin) from http://www.studio1store.com

Glenbox? Never heard of it. Search engine didnīt come up with any matches.

Frank, do you know any online retailer for this adapter?

Cheers, Peter

I have the link somewhere. I'll post it a little later. From what I know, the Glenbox is very good, and that's why the BBC uses them with their VX2000s and MX300s.

I've also heard good things about the Beachtek with the Phantom thing. But I've only seen and used the basic Beachtek, and Studio1, quite some time ago (they where not my cams).
