Hi -

My friend wants to buy an XL2. I'm a FCP user so I'm not too keen on what Premiere can or cannot do. He's on Mac, and has Premiere, but since Adobe stopped making it, he's stuck at 6.5. Regardless, he's stubborn, and refuses to switch to FCP.

So the question is... can Premiere 6.5 properly edit footage from the XL2? Can it edit native 16:9 and 24p at a 2:3:3:2 pulldown?

I use Premiere on a PC, and from what I know on my platform, only Premiere Pro 1.5 and later can handle 24P footage and do the pulldown properly.
