So, i made a mistake. I have 17 Tapes of footage from a short film. I shot with an fx1. Ive been editing for some time now. We shot very conservatively on tape, and thus, saw fit to just capture the entire tapes. Lot of data space... Well, then i used dvfilmmakerhd to convert to 24 p from 60i. this creates files something like 2.5x the original size.

most of that is irrelevant.

i lent my editing suite out, which i RARELY do. when i went back in, i overlooked the fact that i was set to capture at HDV1080i60. I had chosen AIC as my compressor in the beginning. Now...i have half one compression type and half another. ive fricken edited this together, with all the final touches. im ready to place my sequences into a common sequence and create a master full length. OOOOPS. i have 2 compression types. is it ok for me to just leave the new sequence setting at AIC, drag in the AIC and HDV1080i60 sequences in, and let the unfit render...? my assumption is no, but i wanted to get a second opinion. I dont want to re-edit, but i dont want any loss. maybe i can export the hdv1080i60 stuff as aic full res and then reimport??

Anyone know anything about it?

Greatly appreciated.
