Interesting stuff happening on the Premiere front.. how useful the RTx2 will be aongside a kickarsed Turnkey PPro2 system will have to be seen, but it was bound to happen...

If Vegas 7 doesnt have somethign up its sleave, there will most likely be a mass exodus back to premiere... the only thing thats killing Vegas sales is the rendering and Intermediate workflow for HDV...

only time will tell...

one thing i jsut noticed, is that the RTx2, does NOT support 720p or 1080p, it only supports progressive scan for SD output, which pretty much leaves half the users out there scratching their heads..
Also it does NOT support 25p...

so those wanting to work with the JVC HD101's and XLh1's 24f, or pretty much any camera which shoots in progressive scan... may as well put the 2grand towads CPU, GPU and Ram upgrades.. and stick with the SW... shame really...

but i guess this is where the Axio comes into play.. but at almost 10k more for the Axio.. well.. with 10k, one can acquire a brilliant G5 system with FCPHD and do all this and be left with some change...

again.. time will tell..
