I'll after the famous slow-motion trick with the HD100 but i seem to be stuck.

I imported the footage into my compy using AVCVideoCAp
then opened in StreamClip. What do i do to change the frame rate in the original clip?

Export at a quicktime with a different time base?

Well, i got it to work... A bit of a pain in the a$$ but still.

1- Shoot the footage in SD60P
2- Capture to a m2t file on the compy using AVCVideoCapture
3- Open the m2t file in StreamClip (export at quicktime)
4- Open in CinemaTools and "Conform" to the speed you want.. I choose 24fps
5- Open in FCP and you're ready to edit your 40% SlowMo footage.

Jeez, i hope apple/JVC make this process abit easier.

Did you get good results? (I like how you answered your own question by the way. -Classic)

I'd be interested to see what it looks like. On other 60p footage I've seen from the camera, there's a flicker every 6th frame. Could this be the 6 frame GOP perhaps??? uh-oh... It's not always apparent unless you boost the levels quite a bit. Tim Dashwood posted a 60p clip of a guy walking around a corner and pigeons flying through the air. It was neat, but under-exposed. So I lightened it up and noticed the strobing effect. I can't remember if it got lighter or darker every 6th frame, but it was there. Could be a neat effect, but not always... Anyone else see this?

is AVCVideoCAp software? If so, where can I obtain it?

Here you go:
http://developer.apple.com/sdk/#FireWireX

I haven't noticed any strobing yet but i will take a look. My skinkin' compressor proggie refuses to work properly. I need to reinstall and compress the video for the web.

Which download is it, the first one?

Yeah, then you'll find the program under /developer/FirewireSDK22/Applications/

After you install it.
