Has anyone confirmed that today's Apple release of
Final Cut HD can support HD-100U 720 24p
capture and edit?

Confirmed?

Is there news anywhere of the unconfirmed variety that says it does support 720p24?

The PDF info on Apple's site shows no restrictions
with HDV support. So, I'm not sure either way...

The pdf does reference using AIC for the settings.
But, is would be nice to have HDV Capture using
AIC in an Apple Program.

It would also be nice if apple would allow audio and deck control to pass through the firewire port while capturing through analog component HD.

Final cut Pro 5.1.1 can cut 720 24p but can't capture it, you have to use an capture program. So i imagine that the same is true for final cut express.

Final Cut Express has never been able to edit in 24 Frames.

Version 3.5 Final Cut Express is new in release as of yesterday.
This is why I started this thread.

It appears that AIC can be selected and 24p can be directly captured
into Final Cut Express HD 3.5...?

Maybe this is a good sign that very very soon the new FCP is coming?

What is "appears to be able to"...Do you have it?

If this is true, then Apple is really getting on my nerves not giving the FCP update the 720/24P.

No I don't have it. I would buy it for temporary
help if someone would give full confirmation
on the capturing of 24p.

As it is now, we use HDVXDV and then convert the m2t files
into AIC Quicktimes, and it takes a long time...

I just installed FCE 3.5 and here is link to a screenshot of new project types:

Don't think there is a 24p option...
