Purchased camera on 3/24/2006 and still no promo batteries anyone recieved theirs?
Also purchased a cartoni focus at NAB and still waiting.
Starting to think maybe time to sell my camera since it has 1 hour of use on it and move on.
Great camera purchased through texas tapeworks but losy promo. Tripod well there supposely arriving today from Italy.
I am really disappointed that by spending my hard earned money on PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT that this is happening.

Purchased mine about the same time and haven't received anything either. I know they were short supply from IDX but I thought we'd have them by now -- it's been almost two months.

I know that JVC received a shipment of batteries on Friday. I think that they will be receiving about enough for 100 units this week. I sent my info in about the same time as you guys, so hold out hope for another week if possible.

Bough mine from the same place at the same time more or less. NO IDX yet.
This week I lost my first gig due to the lack of battery. This is starting to feel like bait and switch.

Joe- As you know, this is the same issue we were fighting in January over at dvxuser.com and I'm sorry to say that despite their attempts to straighten things out, that JVC battleship still hasn't turned around yet. I'd hate to see you give up the camera because IDX is apaprently screwing JVC. It'd be one thing if they had the opportunity to get out of the deal but things like this are usually long-term commitments so there's extreme risk in jetisoning IDX. Of course I could be wrong but I have to believe that if JVC could switch or if they knew that IDX was goping to have the issues they're apparently having, they'd have not made the deal. But, as I said, I could be wrong and JVC could be causing all these problems. But that doesn't diminish the effectiveness of their camera. It'd be nice to have the batteries but I don't think you should chuck the camera. Just manage expectations next time like I think we all will do. It's unfortunate not to be able to rely on someone's word but, well, that's what separates us.
