Any lovers of Sky 1 "Cold Case" series might be able to help with this....

I have an XL1s plus Premier Pro and want to recreate the effect. The series is mainly shot in high key. Blacks are really black with no detail, whites are very bright yet retain some detail. Its as though the contrast has been shifted somehow, plus clever lighting is evident.

Does anyone know how this effect has been achieved and how I could recreate the effect using the above equipment / software.
