Did a couple of time lapse sequences as a test.

One is from Point Panic outside of Kewalo Basin, looking toward Diamond Head. The other is from Kawaikui Beach Park looking out toward Maunalua Bay.

Hi Rob...

The camera has a built-in intervalometer. Sure beats using an external controller, having to connect it to a laptop, etc. So it's very portable and easily set up. You can specify the interval from an easily accessed menu.

I'm still learning about the various settings on this thing. It certainly provides some good-looking source footage!

Does the camera fire a burst (like most of the sd tape cams do) or does it actually record single frames ?
I would guess it does single frames with p2, but ... ?

That's what I like about this thing: it's shooting single frames instead of bursts. So no need to go through a clip to winnow out individual frames for a time lapse sequence.

I'm thinking of setting up some sort of clock drive to allow panning while shooting a time lapse. But the clock drive has to be variable.
