Just bought a DVC 30 with the XLR. I have a shotgun mic. I would like to tape a friends wedding. If I use a wireless mic on the groom, should I also use a shotgun mic on the camera. Will the sound be OK or will 2 mics screw up the sound.

In most NLEs, you can separate the audio tracks, so you'll be OK.

I routinely shoot with this sort of set-up for weddings.
You just have to make sure you have the correct switch settings on the XLR. ie the CH SELECT switch on INPUT 2 should be set to the CH2 position.
