Well it was better than Christmas last week. My HVX200 arrived as did my Quad Core G5 and Macbook Pro. Before I get into the problem I want to say that I'm pleased with the HVX. The picture quality is great and I was able to get into the menus and navigate easily. I did a short project, but I don't have a web site to post just yet. It did very well on HDDVD as well.

Now for the problem. I can pass the P2 data to the Quad G5 via firewire import. FCP imports with no problem. I can also put the HVX into host mode and send the files to a 250 gig HD. FCP can import from here on the Quad G5 as well.

But the Macbook Pro won't import from either of these methods and says data may be corrupt. I've even tried copying to the local HD and get the same thing. Any ideas?

I think I found my problem. My FCP didn't update to 5.04.

If you are using 5.04 on a Macbook, you should upgrade to 5.1, the universal binary version that runs native on the Macbook, and then upgrade to 5.1.1, which fixes some Macbook specific problems.
