Has anyone here every filmed what is called (I believe) a tres? My understanding of it is a three year old birthday party. Suppose to be a pretty big celebration, with a ceremony and reception. They even have a waltz they do for the 3 year old child. If you have could you share your experience of one. My friend contracted one for me while I was in CT helping someone move. Lady called me, I called my friend, he booked the job. Didn't know it was this type. Thanks.

I will talk to the parents on Monday in detail, but just want to get a feel.

Basically it is a religiuos ceremony where the árents thank god for letting their son or daughter live.
It is much more than a regular birthday and mexican people usually have areceptión for thea adults and at the same time a party with piñatas and candy for kids.

I live in México City , so i have filmed several.
just take it easy. it´s like any birthday party, except for the religious part and that it will probably be more formal.

Thanks, reason I asked your expierence about filming it is because I did more research and asked friends about this type of event. 1 Key thing I picked up on was 1 person said that it's kind of like 2 parties happening at once, 1 for the little kid and 1 for the adults. Just like you commented in the earlier post. I was kind of wondering what you have done with this type of expierence. I meet with them on friday now (they're out of state on vacation) and I can know what they are looking for exactly. Just wanted to have a heads up.
