I, along with my friends, make movies with DV cameras. This is definately not the first time this has been said here.

Anyway, I am looking to upgrade from the PV GS150 my little brother has and the Optura another friend has and would like to get a dvx100a. I was wondering what sort of price is normal for these cameras. Would $1k be enough?

Also, the lowest price on the Completed items sold on eBay right now, was $1700 for a DVX100A with 125 hours, and a couple inexpensive accessories.
