At long last our rails project for the Brevis has gone through its beta stage and the final design is done. These are fully CNC'd from billet aluminum, rails are stainless. The yoke receives the front ring of the adapter and can be tightened (red pads) for a very solid mount and is height adjustable. These should work actually for any adapter under 75mm in diameter. The mount is designed to work with 15mm or 5/8" rods. I'll be posting up pics of the revision 2 adapter in a few days.

Solomon, 100% effort/resources have been directed at the taking the adapter to the next level, at the expense of the other projects. Revision 2 incorporates numerous CNC programming changes, new GG mounting system, new rear mount system and various parts changes...even the internal wiring is changed. The flip module is next in line, then the FF unit. In case that wasn't enough, I have some very cool dolly and crane prototypes waiting in the wings.

Boico, don't get too excited by the upcoming pictures. Other than a new coating (special ordered for the unit) and rear mount, they look identical to the old ones. 90% of the changes are internal. Also, one tool (included) is now used to adust/remove everthing.

My philosophy is to be able to confidently stand behind each product, and certainly the Brevis adapter is there. The adapter/rail designs are very solid.

hi dennis: your rails are very sturdy looking. when you say on your website about the adapter: "It will also work with other adapters 75mm or less in diameter."--does 75mm refer to the lens mount size or the physical size of the adapter/lens unit itself?

Meryem, the yoke will clamp onto anything 75mm or less. That could be an adapter body, lens barrel etc. In the case of the Brevis, it's designed to fit the outermost CNC ring with room for approx. 5mm of urethane foam cushion.

What's the length of the rails and can the base plate fit onto any tripod head?

Beautiful! How much You gonna ask for one?

Zulkifli, the rails themselves are 13" long, but can be ordered in any length by request. The base plate is threaded with standard 1/4" 20 threads with the index pin hole, so any quick release plate or tripod will attach. Frank, pricing info etc. is all on the www.cinevate.com site. Click the "Purchase" tab to bring up the catalog. As of tomorrow, I'll have stock on all the parts.
