What do I have to buy/do to display what im editing on a small TV? What kind of TV should I get? What hookups do I need for my PC? I have a Gefore 6800GS with an S-Video output if that helps and Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5. How do I do this?

What I do for now, is run the S-vid out to the back of a widescreen plasma from my video card. I enable the extended desktop with the card, and in Premiere, then set the extended desktop to play full screen video. Settings may vary, so keep fiddling with it :)

I'm assuming you want to only see your video on the TV, not your computer screen.

If you have a firewire camera with video out such as S-Video, plug the camera via firewire into the computer, plug the s-video from camera into the TV or broadcast monitor, set your camera to vcr mode or deck mode and you should see your Adobe Premiere preview on the TV.

You should check your settings in Premiere also, go to the > (right arrow) at the top right of your preview window, go to playback setting and make sure playback settings are set to "playback on DV hardware and desktop" is checked.

Unless you have something like the HD100, which has no S-vid at all. In which case, go back to the video out of the card.

does anyone know where the settings are in pp2.0 to enable this tv screen to replace your output monitor?

It's under Project settings>general>playback... or somewheres around there.

hmm guys im really having some trouble simply cloning my desktop to my tv connected with the svideo on my nvidia fx5600 graphics card. I have tried everything. Does anyone know of any good step by step guides before I just assume that either my tv or graphics card is faulty?
