Recently, I have been getting beeps in audio when I play back tapes on my VX-2000. It has happened on 3 different tapes that have been recorded on the past month. Are my heads going bad? Can anyone help me out with this?

Are you just playing back the tapes, or are you listening to the audio in Final Cut Pro perhaps? In FCP when there are beeps in the audio it means it needs to be rendered. But if the beeps are on the tapes directly from the camera then that's something I haven't seen before myself...
