15mm rods and I had the dimensions for the distance, but don't remember where they are or what they are...I'll try to dig that up.

Thanks! This is a nice start to begin with...

I just finished mine, have to figure out a mounting system for them (from scratch...the price tags of the pro stuff hurts me and steals food from my teenage boy's mouth ;) ). cost for the rails ended up about $15 with aluminimuminum rods and associated hardware to turn them into a rectangle. I used wooden blocks on the ends to space them 60mm on center and used a Die to thread the rods (PITA) so I could throw washers and nuts to sandwich the pieces of wood at the ends. Looks very professional once I paint it mate black. Still have to figure out how I'm going to mount everything to it though. Give some time...I'll come up with something brilliant ;) (aren't we glad I'm modest).

Tommorow I'am going to the local hardware shop to buy the stuf I think I need, I'll post pics everytime...

Where did you find those - I know there's EU/US difference here, but as simple as that looks I can't find them in any parts/home improvement short - and those are really the most essential part of the whole rod system.

It are brackets for copper 15 mm water tubes, from the local Do-it-yourself shop...

Looks good! Not sure if you had this covered already, but through some some/rubber on the curved side of the shoulder support (ie: I've used that round foam home pipe insulation material). Even though it's a bit ergonomic already, a flat surface will definitely ache after a short while. Also, the rubber will allow some shock absorption if you move.

I don't know how well those clamps hold, but you may want to consider adding a layer of leather or rubber (sounds like a good club name) in those brackets to stop them from biting into the tubes...it'll add a little shock support as well.

The brackets are made from lead. They are pretty strong...

I made them smooth at the inside so it doesn't damage the tube...

I'am going to paste 1cm thick rubber under the shoulder support and under the camera. I think that will be enough.
