It was love at first sight. My friends are warning me that the tripod will weigh so much that I won't be happy in the long run, but I am hynotized by the beauty and what I am certain is impeccable funtionability. My husband used this tripod and head many years ago and loved it. I can't believe I got it for $500. What a beaut!

Awesome, Lori. Now be sure and give us something to watch when you do some shooting on this combo!

What camera are you going to be using with it?

I just finished shooting a documentary on the training of opera singers. Hopefully, we'll be able to get a bit cut together fairly soon. The program is extremely physical. The whole program is about getting singers more firmly anchored in their bodies and at one point in the training, their entire being begins to vibrate and they sing like they have never sung before. It is hot stuff.

My grandfather was a photographer and so I grew up looking at photographic equipment. I think it's beautiful and this tripod - oh my. What a work of art. :) Thanks for asking.

I cannot believe I get to own this.

Cool but I was asking more specifically to show us something with camera moves on your new (to you) tripod. If you shot the documentary with it, pardon me because it reads like you just got it.
