Hey Austin! I only had a chance to watch the first two but I might get back to watch some more. I'm going to be dead honest with you, as I am with other people.

"Hi, I'm New"
This type of humour doesn't get to me. It may for others, but I personally didn't enjoy it. Maybe it is because it is based on Poetry, which most of the time I hate, although there is some good poetry. There is some colour correction issues, I don't know if they were done on purpose to make it seem more 'romantic' but they were just distracting for me. You needed to adjust the white balance on the camera, but it can easily be fixed in post by bringing down the magenta or red levels; see example.

"Surf for Turf: A Delivery Tale"
This was a thousand times better. The acting was convincing and funny, the camera angles were chosen well and there were no colour issues. :) This film really looks professional. Interesting characters and locations. There are some parts I didn't understand and could have been cut out, such as the guy without the shirt or certain scenes when they are talking on the roof. But in the end it was really well made and I enjoyed it.

I have some questions for you now! How did you get the locations for the second film? Do you know the owners directly or did you ask them? They let you in the projection room? It made the film a lot more interesting and I am interested to know how you got these locations.

Also, the Delivery video looks like it was created on film. It looks like you used a film camera instead of a video camera, in other words, much more cinematic. Is it true you used film or was it a special technique for the video in the editing process?

Thanks so much for the feedback. It was so much appreciated. And while my personal favorite is the Surf for Turf, I am attempting a new system in which I film a short a month. I thought some of the characters in Hi, I'm New (Opus) were better. But over all I was much happier with the final product of Surf For Turf.
The Surf For Turf was filmed on a DVX and was adjusted in post.
As for location. I work at that theater, and everyone in the movie works there as well. Including our actual managers (the goonies guy, projection guy, theater patron, etc.). The roof was actually the roof of the Del Mar. No doubt there was some audio problems with the actual vents going crazy up there.

emo overload! well, on the verge of indie-art school. I liked all the films. you have a great sense of pop/video culture as each film exaggerates classic elements of contemporary youth and the dynamics of 80s pop film.

You keep the viewer interested with a variety of shots and scenes...with very few filler parts. you know proportion (what most ameture film-makers lack). You will make lots of money and have nice cameras.

Also, the goonies part was primo.

I enjoyed them all equally....but each one for different reasons. Anything that had to do with zombies was great only really because i like zombies. They really didnt seem to go anywhere story wise.

Surf for turf is definitely a good sign you are heading in the right direction

The whole making a film every month i think is a great idea as long as you can keep getting better/learn something new from it each movie you make.

what kinds of budgets are you working with.....when you make your films

I've seen some of these else where...liked them then, like them now.

Specifically the zombie video and the surf and turf.

My favourite is "wake the dead". Because of very nice zombie-choreography.

What the hell was that 'Zombies on Parade' all about?

Is it a taste of things to come, or just something that you've thrown together overnight?

On it's own it doesn't really come to much, but it did get me hooked and I wanted to know what was going on. Hopefully there will be more to this, with or without a bigger production value. I honestly feel it has potential, and as long as you didn't p*ss it all away it could come to something.

At the very least, it would be a killer lo/no budget movie to put in your portfolio.
