All,

I have two DVD 4's that I have to rip for a customer and put on to a single DVD 9 for replication - all legal and for the original publisher.

The plant doesn't want a double sided DVD-R (or +R) because they are not reliable enough, they want an image file spread out on to single sided discs.

What software will allow me to burn this image file? I am using Encore right now, and I can't find anything about it.

Thanks in advance.

What version of Encore DVD are you using? I believe double layer (DVD 9) support was added in version 1.5.

Nero (I think versions 6.3 or 6.6 and up) will do it.

Thanks guys...

Encore allows you to create the image file? Not just burn the disc? Where is that option located?

Yes, you can use Encore to create a DVD image. Go to Folder > Build DVD > DVD Image.

Also, since you're dealing with a copy house, you may want to explore the fourth option which is DVD Master, and use a DLT machine.

Blind here... thanks... it didn't show up on my help seach.

Yeah, if I had a DLT unit that would be my strong preference.
