Would you buy a trv 900 now for documentary purpose if you find one at around 600 $ us ?

a good 'old butsolid' 3ccd cam (that i know well already) VS a small 'cheap but new' 3ccdpanny(or something else for that matter) for around the same price ?

It would entirely depend on two points:

1. Is the used camera in good shape?

2. Do I need the camera to match other cameras I'm shooting and they are Sony cameras.

Otherwise, I'd prefer the new camera if only because the 900 is soon, if it hasn't already, fallen off the Sony 7 year age cliff and no longer can get a flat-rate repair.
