I've seen some DVX100 footage and stills at different sites, and some of them have to much 'edge enhancement'.

When I say 'Edge enhancement' I'm referring to this:

Is it possible to lower this through the camera controls?

Yes, you can control (and turn off) the artificial sharpness or 'edge enhancement' of the image. It is called 'detail level' on the DVX100.

Keep in mind that artificial sharpening (specifically the v component) introduces/enhances line twitter and other artifacts which make the picture very unreal on high performance displays. Thats why I don't like Pansonics' standard settings which are optimized for low end and small displays.
