Hi guys,

Have been given a box of different lenses for 35mm still film cameras. Just wondering if any will fit on an XL1?

Not really asking if a particular lense will fit such a DV camera, more of do the attachments on your average still camera fit with those on an XL1?

And if not, how come? Surely there must be a connecter that could allow this.

Thanks in advance.
Jay

Welcome Jayson!

Canon makes a gizmo called the "EF Adapter" that enables Canon EF series lenses to be mounted on the XL1. Do a Search (button above) on EF and you'll find some discussions on it.

OpTex (http://www.xl1s.com/optacc.htm) also has adapters to Nikon F mount, Canon FD, Sony B4 and Arriflex PL mount.
