To date, all of my projects have been delivered on 60i DVD. Shooting HDV has improved the final DVD image quality a "bit", but still kind of has that "DV look".
Sony's website implies that shooting HDV 24p, editing in true 24p, and transcoding to 24p DVD will give the absolute best image quality. Is this true???
Are there compatability problems with 24p DVDs being not playable on some set top DVD players?
What is the format of commercial film DVDs? 60i, 24p, 60i with pull down?
The HDV imagery is so awesome, there has got to be a way to get more of it to survive downconversion to DVD.
Thanks
