Spoke to my rep there who always takes care of my rentals when I rent there... they said they're in the midst of becoming a Panasvision company...

Very interesting. I wonder how that will work organizationally.

Panavision Woodland Hills
Panavision Hollywood
Panavision Burbank (for 900s and Genesis)

Of course I'm just making stuff up.

Fanciful. Of course the big issue with splitting up facilities would be apportioning lenses and accessories, since many are shared between the digital and film divisions.

Honestly, I didn't think Panavision was in good enough financial shape to acquire anyone right now, but I guess an infusion came from somewhere.

Right. I realize they don't really need another location in town. I think it's a big "who knows?".

When I was working at William F. White we also had Panavision and Cinequip under our roof. I got to go over there and ogle at all their cool digital gear. The decked out HVX200s were sooooo fine. $350 a day too; $350 CAD.

Fanciful.

Man, you know I'm the fanciest.
