How can I achieve the HDTV look of NBC's "Today" show? (inside studio shots)

It is my favourite show broadcast in HDTV... not because I actually watch it, but because I'm so hooked on the picture quality...

I'm only considering the Canon XH A1 or Sony HZR-V1U. Both are "lowly" HD camcorders, compared to true professional cameras that NBC uses... but I would like to know how close I can get to that "look"....

Thanks!

It's all in the lighting. Not to mention the crew. Plus the studio itself. And the budget.

Not to mention the signal transmission and recording path and formats.

That's one of the shows I do sound for- the field segments, not the studio stuff. I can find out for you what cameras they're using in the studio if you would like.
You guys didn't mention the editors or the fancy edit roooms. They edit on Avid by the way.
