Not sure if someone else has mentioned this, but you can now sign up for a free HVR-V1U DVD. I'm not sure what is on the DVD and they say it will take 8-10 weeks to get to you but what the heck, I signed up anyway. Here is the link:

I wonder if it's the same DVD they gave us at the press conference? It had a variety of example shots on it - nature scenes with fields and forests, seagulls at the shore, a soccer game. This was the same footage they showcased on the large HD screen at the press conference. The detail on the big screen really impressed me at the event, but watching the same footage from the SD DVD on my 37" plasma screen didn't impress me nearly so much.
