I can't seem to send a timeline selected clip to Soundtrack Pro as an audio file. Only Multi-tranck and scripts are options. The audio file option is dimmed. Doesn't matter whether I choose a clip from the timeline or a bin.
Most of my system and user settings are default for both FCP and Soundtrack Pro. Any ideas?

You can only send single mono or linked stereo clips to STP as an audio file project.
If you capture your footage as A1, A2 etc. and both tracks are on the timeline, and you try to send them to STP, it will open a multitrack project.
The work around is to send only one audio track to the timeline.
You can always add the other back in after STP has worked its magic.

In my case, and the reason for my question, was that the audio was linked stereo. I remain puzzled that the option of "send to audio project" was dimmed.
Thanks for the workaround. I will try that the next time I use Soundtrack.
