Hello Gunleik,
i have been testing this software....
very interesting...How well do you like it?
Do you use it with FCP, Motion or both?

I have been playing with it, without reading the manuals....
I was following the tutorial for keying and it does
seem to give plenty of control and I was getting
better results than the FCP keyers.
I have a bunch of keying jobs coming up and this
will probably be what I use.....

Would this be a good tool to get if I intend to run Shake, too? They look like they are based on pretty similar concepts, and my initial (maybe very superficial) impression is that the Shake is maybe the "grownup" version of this tool. Does that sound right?

You could say Shake is the grown up.
It's probably best to say both tools are aimed at different markets and have different goals but can also be thought of as complementary. Shake is nowhere realtime but has a vast array of tools but Conduit is realtime with a somewhat reduced toolset.
There are plenty of small quick jobs that would benefit from staying in the NLE with Conduit rather than sending out to Shake which could be considered a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
I use Shake for a living and did not need to think twice about purchasing Conduit.

I can easily think of one good reason to go this route over shake.
Say: Gammashift
Thanks.
So where you don't really have to open Shake, this could be it.
I'll have to test it some first, though, and I cannot get my head around that before I finish current gigs.
