Which should you get first, the JVC HD cam or the HD ready TV? Can you shoot HD and play it back on a regular TV? Just curious.

Get Steve Mullen's book! I'm sure it will address all such production questions.

Thanks! His website is always down, though, so I haven't been able to snoop around there.

I know that you can always downconvert your HD footage to SD with the video editing software. But who knows how good that looks? Personally I'd get the HDTV monitor first - you'll be glad you did especially when you watch some DVDs!

Yeah, I've been thinking about it. But prices still seem somewhat high.

Sorry Frank, it's up and has been since March 1. So I guess you haven't really tried very hard to learn something for almost a month.

You can buy HDTV's for $1,500.

Actually, I've tried to get into your site several times, but each time your site had exceeded it's traffic.

Actually, I learned something even today: the new Optura 20 has no lanc controller - Canon took it away! (among other things). :D

So you're the one that exceed my limit! :) :)

I'm off the air until April 1.
