Hello. I have an oppurtunity to pick up a 2.66 Ghz Mac Pro for crazy cheap. After talking with the seller I am convinced that it is a fair sale and not a scam. But that's not what this is about. Anyway, I was wondering, I originally was going to get the 3.0 GHz, but with this other one available it got me thinking. So, in short, How much of a difference have you noticed/heard between the two motherboards?
I saw some tests in a current mac magazine that basicly said it was matter of hundreths of seconds difference.

Also, if important the other specs are:
2 Gig RAM
1 250 Gig HD
1 500 Gig HD
1 NVIDIA 7300 GT graphic card.

The graphic card I will probably replace first and then add more ram as needed.

More revelant info:

Plan on using FCP Studio and Shake for my next film project. Will also be using Photoshop.
(and will be shooting the film in HD)

Thanks for looking :P

The motherboards are equal, and if you put on your hard hat you can even pop quad-cores into that motherboard. (It has been done already).

You'll want the ATI 1900 for SHAKE /Motion previews adn the new FX in FCP.
