I've recently purchased an ITE tripod that has a 3/8" mounting screw (it most likely is metric, but I don't know the metric size or thread of the screw). I need a quick fix adapter to be able to mount my xl2 to the tripod. Please advise me as to a source for an adapter. Thanks much.

Donn, I think the Canon TA100 tripod adapter will do. It's a quick releas plate, very sturdy. I got this myself and are very satisfied.
