I have been shooting DV and editing for years now with consumer equipment.

However, I realized that I know very little about a lot of terminology and technicalties of DV, video/film, and cameras in general. Including lens, coloration, focal lengths & F-Stop and depth of field, etc.

Are there any good books that discuss cameras, lens, photography/videography terminology and concepts, etc. that you would recommend?

Also, are there any good books that cover DV, video/film, etc. on the technical side that are recommended?

And, even better, a book that combines all of this into one read?

I am not looking for a book talking about framing shots or how to edit, or good artistic form, etc. etc. I have a good handle on all of that, I am curious about the more technical side of things in DV and also in camera operation and manual controls, etc.

The 5 C's of Cinematography is a great book. Also check out our Read About It forum (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?s=&f=36&page=1&pp=30&sort=lastpost&order=desc&daysprune=-1) for lots of posts and recommendations on different books.
