Hello friends,

I didn't know which thread this properly belonged to, so I placed it here.

As some of you know I do the 8mm/Super 8mm film transfers.
I always put easy listening music underneath the clips, (alternating Jim Brickman and Kenny G songs).
I have a 2 hour clump for fast editing.

Anyway, this latest transfer I received involves mainly film taken from the South Korean 38th Parallel guard unit from the late 50's.
This guy shot his base, their drills, practicing, war games, etc.

Does anyone have any artist or music suggestions? I want to avoid vocals as well, just background music.

I've had a brain fart with music. However, I know it would be a sin to put my usual music underneath that!
Kenny G with granades a flying and clay markers blowing up just isn't right!

Thanks!

Kathy

Thin Lizzy's Chinatown?

(depends, of course, on the political slant that you want to apply)

Hahaha.

Well, I'm a fair and balanced kind of girl if you get my drift. :>)

Is this a Liberal song?

I also forgot to mention that I need about 90 minutes of this joyous background music.

I know, you got a mountain for me to climb?

Why not consider popular music from that time period?

Something classical from Mozart, Bach or Beethoven?

That's a good point but the only music I have from the 50's are people like Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin kind of stuff.

Those guys probably wouldn't go well either underneath.
