hi all,

i am using GS500 PAL version and would like to try create scenes with slow motion effect but yet sharp.

So i know i need to get the footage in high shutter first, maybe 1/125? and then what do i do to the clip in FCP? and numeric recommendations would be appreciated just to start me off experimenting

cheers

That seems like a lot of work compared to doing it just in FCP.

Just right click (you have a 3 button mouse right?) on the clip in the time line and choose speed. Lower it to whatever you want and hit ok. Select the clip and press apple - r to render it.

... buttery goodness.

define "buttery" Gene!

the "lot of work" involved in the Compressor method produces significantly more buttery results than a basic speed change in fcp, which is oft considered rancid by most palettes ;)
