Hi , I ant to purchase an ag-dvx100 but I don't know if choose a pal or ntsc for the following reasons : my final use would be for film transfer and I readed that the pal version doesn't have the 24p but has 25p however the pal has an higher resolution but would it be a problem the 25p ?and also If there is no difference between the 24p and 25p wouldn'it be better to buy the new jvc gr-hd1 or still the ag-dvx100 even not being HD it has a more film gamma color ?
Also I wish to know if anyone know where I could see some test of film transfer from the ag-dvx100 and maybe compared to something shot with film camera ( as 16 or 35mm)

Tony, I would stick with PAL since Italy is PAL. Plus, 25P and 50 interlaced are very common for DV to film transfers---not to mention the higher vertical resolution and PAL's better color. Perhaps pick the transfer lab first, and then find out what they prefer for good results.

Thanks for the answer , but it be problematic for the audio sincro ( film is 24 p ) if I shoot in 25p ?
And still waht about the jvc ....

going from 25P to 24fps on films takes a 4% slowing down in speed, a very common and easy process done by the lab! go PAL

You can check out DuArt Labs in New York City. They do screenings of dv material transfered to 35mm film, and have some good examples of DVX100 footage (NTSC). Here's a thread that covered my experiences going to DuArt:
