Is there a way to record the proxy at a higher quality to make it similar to editing 15 to 1 draft quality?

Greg Boston February 5th, 2007, 11:04 AM Nope, the proxy resolution is fixed. It will only change if you switch from HD to DVCAM. -gb- Phil Bloom February 5th, 2007, 01:16 PM so the HD proxy is better quality than the DVCAM proxy? Greg Boston February 5th, 2007, 10:44 PM so the HD proxy is better quality than the DVCAM proxy? I was thinking SD 4:3 vs HD 16:9. I realize of course that you can shoot DVCAM in widescreen and the proxy may have the same resolution. But the answer to your original question remains the same. The resolution (what ever it is) is fixed and not changeable. -gb- Andy Mees February 6th, 2007, 07:18 AM hey Phil how are you editing the proxies? using which NLE? i've found that as MPEG4 files they cannot be edited easily in realtime using FCP. cheers Andy |
