A friend of mine bought a new XL-H1 last summer, the viewfinder came out the box with an odd purple/pink colour cast in it. There was no 'real' colour picture and so sent it back for replacement.

The dealer sent out a new one, which was fine for the following six months, but now it's gone the same way as the previous viewfinder. Has anyone else experienced this and was there perhaps a rogue batch in the system ?

Mine will often be pinkish for the first minute or two -- until it warms up, I'm guessing. But then it goes away. Is that what you're talking about?

No it's a permanent cast.

Well, I certainly hope you can get this resolved. I also hope that's not where my camera is headed too.
