Hi to all of You!
Does anybody have experiences with the XS17x5.5 in connection with the PDW-F350? I am wondering about the low price, but I would be very happy if this were a good solution. I am sure that I will not miss the extender, because in the past I used my extender one time a year.

Second question: Does anyone have experiences with railroad shooting? Does the compression work properly even if there are fast trains in the picture?

Matthias

Hello Matthias,
we have the fujinon XS17x5,5 lens with our PDW-F330 camera. We also donīt need an extender. The picture quality which goes ahead with this lens is really good. The only bad thing is the f-stop ring. It works too smooth - runs too easy. I dont like it very much.

For fast movements use the 35 M/Bits HQ Modus. You will get no artefacts (hope thats the right word in english) with this modus.

For further information you can visit me at the Sony XDCAM HD Media roadshow in Berlin on We. 21.02.2007. I am the guy who presents the first act of the show (aquisitation with the camcorder).

Of course I will use the 35 Mbit/s quality at all times and nothing else. And of course I will be present in the Umspannwerk next week, I registered three weks ago... :-)
