Sometime ago someone asked for this question, so here it is a very short shot that shows you a 25p interview.

Enjoy it!

Again Miguel, nice looking footage!

I can't wait to try out a dvx100 cam :)

this are the settings from the camera as i remember:
25 p at 1/50
color +5
ped -1
iris -1
gamma Norm
thick mode
matrix norm 2

Light was:
- 1 spotlight in the far back
- fluorescent screen for his face
- 1 tungsten for the egipcian background.

As you see it was all very simple. but effective and a little dramatic. We tried different lights, a very envolving ligt with much more soften light for the face of the man. But this looks more like we were inside a tomb, doesm´t it?

The footage looks nice. Good job with the lighting. I'm not sure if it was just my player but the audio out of sync?

What do you mean by " fluorescent screen for his face."

Thanks,

I could only see his eyes. The rest was like black with a few splotchy colors. I guess it was an interesting effect.

Ha! I knew it- there IS something wrong with your player. You should appologize to Marc. ;)

No, his trailer looked normal, a bit dark, except for the bar scene, which looked pretty good, but this was all messed up.

You know what though.....More power to him, he's making movies. More than I can claim for my self right now. I made more movies in my youth with a Realistic Camcorder (Analog). I'll have to find one of them and post it.

I'm feeling a little jealous here. I wish I could say it's about the piece, but it's actually about not being able to see it. Windows Media Player bravely goes off to get the codec it wants, then starts playing the audio only. Properties shows the codecs as unknown. What do I need for this particular avi format?

Go to DivX.com and download the codec directly from them.

Looks great for DV, your footage is one of those that convinced me to go for the DVX100. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Glen. Thought I already had the divx codec. My old Internet PC isn't up to playing it well but grabbing it from the cache and playing it on the editing machine is very impressive. Beautiful encoding, and very nice lighting too.
