Hey gang, I'm still fairly new with FCP and I'm used to being able to change the speed of a clip (in Vegas) without rippling the clips after it. I can't seem to figure out an easy way to change a clip's speed without affecting the clips that come after it. My work around has been to move the clip to a new track, lock all other tracks to avoid ripple, changing the speed off the clip, then unlocking all tracks, and finally moving the clip back to its place in the sequence. In vegas it was just a matter of ALT+trimming to adjust speed and I suspect FCP has a similar feature but I haven't found it in the manual.
Is there a faster way? can I turn off ripple?
Thanks in advance.
Jeff
