Some naive questions:

Since purchasing the Sony line of post-production software, I've heard the phrase "print to tape." What does that mean---what piece of equipment does one need? Do many (on this board) print to tape to author dvds? When people "backup old projects to tape", is that what they are referring to?
You can't backup a completed project to the camera/tape, can you?

Well, in the Mac world, and I think its the same with Premiere, Print to Tape simply means recording your movie to video tape from the timeline using deck/cam control.

Usually you get options to include things like black, color bars, slates, counters, that sort of thing. The Print to Tape controls your deck like it does during capture and records your Timeline (your movie) to digital tape

So it has nothing to do with DLT or another option for producing dvds?
