last summer, my friends and i played some softball games every 2 weeks and used the Sony HC32 DV camera on a tripod to record the game. the best position was behind the batter watching 3rd and 2nd base with the pitcher and batter in the scene.

what software would be the easiest to add statistics to the game?

ie:
a scoreboard at top left corner
stats of the batter when he comes up. (we recorded the stats on paper.)
