Okay all:

Does a 35mm adapter cause a lot of noise in a camera, or is it just because of shooting in low light conditions? Does shooting with a very consumer camera create a reason for a lot of noise in not well lit areas? Thanks.

Does a 35mm adapter cause a lot of noise in a camera,

No. It generally reduces the amount of light hitting the sensors though. That, in turn, may increase noise.

is it just because of shooting in low light conditions?

That is the primary environmental factor. Temperature and spectral intensity of the light are the other environmental factors.

Does shooting with a very consumer camera create a reason for a lot of noise in not well lit areas?

Generally, yes. However, there are exceptions to the rule, especially if you compare HD to SD. The GS500 is ostensibly a consumer camera, while the Sony A1U is 'pro', and costs three times as much. Yet the GS500 has less noise.
