DUmb question, but I seem to keep losing the little plastic caps that cover the XLR connectors. Is there an easy source for replacements?

Going to their site leads you to their parts page; I also think this info is in the manual. But I'd suggest using fishing string to keep em on in the future !

I bought mine second hand and the caps were missing when it arrived. But no probs yet. Just don't get sea water on them or anything!

Used a borrowed HVX200 for a nine day shoot, and keeping track of the caps was a real pain.

Chewing gum works well.

Don't try this!

Gaffer tape might be good to cover them up with if you're filming in damp, saltwater spray or dusty environments.

Gaffer tape is the best thing ever!

If I'm not losing a new set of XLR covers then I'm usually losing the lens cap. These things tend to get tossed in a pocket and forgotten during quick set ups and shoots. If you can't find them online then a Panasonic Authorized store should be able to order them. I like the gaffers tape idea. A good size roll of that probably is cheaper than what Panasonic would charge for replacement covers.
