So we are building a new editing suite - all the carpentry work & painting is just about finsihed. We now have to decide what is going in there. I have a couple of questions:

1. Using Vegas, what sound card are you using to achieve your 5.1 mixes?

2. I would really like to use the PreSonus Firepod if possible - can I route the channels in Vegas to each of the outputs on the Firepod? Or is there anotehr external Firewire device that you have had success with?

I had a Firepod for a while. You should be able to do what you want. Controlling master volume will be a small issue though.
