Hey people

just wondering whether anyone has any good ideas or presets for shooting indoors with no 'extra' lighting, so just a mix of daylight ambience and interior lighting?

cheers

Mat,

Presets are pretty much a matter of your personal taste. Whether you want it saturated or bleached out etc., that is a matter of choice.

The XL2 forum has a section on presets here: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=48287

Load them, try them out and see what you like. It would be best to try them out ahead of time and not just in the viewfinder, as it does not show them that well. If you have a chance, hook up to a monitor and try each setting, and play with your own.

As far as white balance, you can white balance manually and do it frequently as the balance will change as the light does, or you can trust the auto white balance setting of the camera. It really does quite a good job at maintaining the balance.

Good Luck----Mike
